This is a demonstration website developed by Technoleg Taliesin Cyf.
The Welsh Government is offering grants of £500 to Community Councils to allow them to develop a website to improve communication with the electors in their community. We have developed this basic website structure that allows councils to go online without breaking their budget - the basic site only costs £500 to develop, and includes:
● A fully bilingual site structure ● Tools to allow the Clerk to easily add and edit the website content ● A searchable library of documents (Minutes etc) ● Hosted e-mail accounts for clerk@ and chair@ ● Additional/alternative text pages at no extra charge ● Annual hosting and domain registration only £95
Other features can be added for a small extra charge, e.g. Facebook and Twitter or a private area for Councillors

Llanbethma Community Council
Community and town councils are the grassroots level of local governance in Wales.
There are over 730 community and town councils throughout Wales. Llanbethma is one of the smallest, with a population (in 2011) of only 587. They all work to improve the quality of life and environment for citizens in their area.
Community councils are accountable to local people and have a duty to represent the interests of the different parts of the community equally.
Councillors:Community councillors are elected every four years. The next election will be in 2016.
Responsibilities: Community councils have responsibility for (or are permitted to act regarding) a wide range of local services and functions. You can see a full list of functions here
Finance: the activities of community councils are funded through the Council Tax. Each community council decides how much to charge to cover its expenditure.
Council meetings
The council meets on the last Thursday of each month at 7.30pm in the Celtic Manor Hotel, Newport.
Meetings are open to all. Please contact the Clerk to confirm times.
